Acquired in December 2021, Global Product Search (GPS) is the latest addition to the Protech Group.
GPS are an industry-leading provider of recruitment and training solutions for the mining and maintenance sectors across Queensland. Protech’s clients will benefit from the combined knowledge and expertise of GPS and Protech. They also have an extensive network of talent past and present that will expand Protech’s ability to provide high-quality workforce solutions throughout the country.
About GPS
Operating since 2004, GPS have a wealth of experience; their team is well-respected and highly-qualified. Beginning as a product and tooling supplies company in the Bowen Basin, GPS have consistently expanded their offerings to now include labour hire, recruitment, and training solutions. Over the course of their expansion, they have worked on projects of all sizes, providing custom workforces for large-scale operational ramp-ups, executive roles, and smaller projects alike.
State of the art training equipment
GPS also have competitive, state of the art training equipment, and the experienced personnel who can utilise it best—their New to Industry Haul Truck Training program will be integrated into Protech’s service offerings. The equipment simulates Caterpillar 785 – 793 models, meaning employees with little to no experience can learn how to operate heavy machinery without the risk of incident or injury.
The program is designed to be an opportunity for employees without prior experience to enter the mining industry. Not only does this widen the talent pool for mining projects, it reduces on-site training costs, and facilitates a seamless transition into new operating roles.
Building on success
The mining and resources industry requires responsive solutions to support any location or roster, and provide workforce flexibility for open cut and underground projects. Protech already employs a team of mining recruitment managers with specialist knowledge in delivering co-created workforce solutions.
